Northern Illinois Regional Art Exhibition

ArtConnectED understands the importance of building community and the role the arts play in bringing people together. Art Connection: Past Meets Present celebrates the enduring connections between art educators and their former students — honoring the shared creative journey that begins in the classroom and continues throughout a lifetime. This exhibition showcases the impact of mentorship, inspiration, and the lasting influence that teachers and students have on one another. Through a variety of media and artistic voices, the show highlights how creative dialogue and exploration can span years, evolve, and continue to inspire new perspectives. Participation is open to all current or retired Illinois K–12 art educators, as well as their alumni who have maintained an active artistic practice and/or continue to work in an art or design-related field. Eligible participants must be currently creating artwork or professionally engaged in a visual art or design discipline. All fine art media are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber, glass, mixed media, digital/video, ceramics, and jewelry. All submitted artwork must be original and completed within the past year.
