High school art educators are invited to participate in specialized weeklong workshop.  Participants will have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in instruction designed especially for high school art educators looking for an opportunity to receive subject-specific projects, lessons and training aimed at strengthening their AP and/or Advanced level course offerings and teaching practice. Participants will learn advanced studio techniques, try new mediums, discover different approaches to instruction and best practices to prepare for the year ahead. This experience will also provide participants with detailed curriculum concepts to enhance teaching practice, deepen personal direction, hone art skills, expand concept development, and discover new applications for educational practice.

 

Participants will receive ample studio time, opportunities for networking with colleagues throughout the week and receive Professional Development hours for participation. Participants will have their own personal workspace, drawer and/or storage cabinet. Each day lunch will feature a 45-minute guest presenter/presentation that correlates with the days/weeks focus. Depending on instructor, participants may take part in a field trip and/or field work on select days.
