ArtConnectED understands the importance of
building community and the role that the arts can play in bringing people together. The arts are an essential part of our culture, they allow us to have a deeper understanding of our emotions, increase our self-awareness, and also allow us to be open to new ideas and experiences.
The Art Educator Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition developed by art educators for art educators who continue their studio practice while teaching in K-12 schools across Illinois. It is held at the historic and visually breathtaking Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago with up to $1,000 in cash awards.
(*Retired educators or a person working in the Art Education field are also eligible to participate)
All fine art media is accepted. Artists may submit painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fibers, glass, mixed media, digital/video media, ceramics, and/or jewelry. All works must be original and completed within the last year.

Portfolio Review and Notification ProcessSUBJECT TO CHANGE Portfolio Review Completed portfolio submissions will be reviewed by admissions representatives from accredited colleges, universities and art schools from across the country for scholarship consideration. Notification Process ArtConnectED will send out email notifications to all students who receive scholarship offers. Colleges have been asked to notify students both electronically and by mail. All scholarship offers are considered provisional until the student has completed a formal application and been accepted to the offering school. Notification of Artwork Inclusion in Exhibition Students and their art teacher will be notified by ArtConnectED of their participation in the Senior Scholarship Exhibition prior to the exhibit via email.
