Art Educator Exhibition

ArtConnected and the Illinois Art Education Association recognize the artistic talents of Illinois' art educators with an annual juried exhibition with up to $1,000 in cash awards. Participating artists must be a K-12 Art Educator working within the State of Illinois. All fine art media are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, fiber, glass, mixed media, digital/video media, ceramics, and jewelry. All works must be original and completed within the last year.

Slideroom Entry and Entry Fee


Entry Fee - $40 $34 non-refundable entry fee will be required for all Artists submitting up to 2 artworks. SlideRoom charges an additional $6.00 nonrefundable fee at the time of submission. *ONLY complete entries will be accepted. Entry fee is non-refundable..




Delivery and Installation


Saturday June 5th, 2021 - hours of 8AM and 11AM ONLY. Artists are responsible for delivery/shipping of artwork and for pick-up after conclusion of the show. Delivery address is: Bridgeport Art Center 1200 West 35th Street, Chicago, IL. 60609 Artwork Delivery Options.

  • NORTH entrance by parking lot at 34th and Racine. You may unload at the loading dock to the left of that entrance. If you need to use a cart, ask in the management office, which is located on the first floor directly behind the loading dock. After unloading your art, park your car in the visitors’ lot – do not leave it parked in the loading dock. The front office staff will direct you to the elevator that goes to the Third Floor Gallery (3R).
  • EAST entrance by the Sculpture Garden off of Racine. Enter the building and proceed to the 3rd Floor Gallery.
Upon arrival, please present the attached consignment agreement. Please unwrap your work and take the wrapping materials home with you. No artwork will be accepted for exhibition until it is properly prepared. NEW- No matted artwork will be accepted. All wall hung artwork must be ready to hang (i.e., with wire and/or hooks, framed, but no sawtooth hardware). Artists may be subject to completing proper preparations on-site in order to exhibit or artwork will not be exhibited. Please secure the Entry Form to the back of your artwork.




Pick Up of Artwork


All artwork must be picked up on Sunday, July 17th from 8am-12pm If you have any questions call John Zilewicz at 708-612-1273.
Please note: Any work left seven days after the close of the exhibit is subject to a fine of $5.00 per day. Any artwork left over 30 days becomes the property of the IHSAE.




Reception, Awards, and Artwork Sales


The Bridgeport Art Center receives 25% of the sale proceeds. All sold artwork must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition. A payment check to the artist will be issued within 30 days of the exhibit closing.
